Learn about our mission, vision, and the work we do to empower girls and women in Uganda.
Cycle Safe Uganda Initiative is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) under the NGO Act 2016 (Registration No: CBS/441/2025), based in Masindi Municipality, Uganda.
We work to address systemic barriers that limit access to menstrual health support, particularly for girls and women in underserved communities. We are committed to creating sustainable solutions that ensure every girl can manage her menstruation safely, confidently, and with dignity.
"Girls are written into the SDGs but written out of the budgets. We are here to change that."
A society where menstrual health is a fundamental right, not a privilege. We believe that every girl deserves access to the resources, education, and support she needs to manage her menstruation with dignity and confidence.
To champion menstrual health equity through education, advocacy, and resource mobilization, empowering communities to claim their right to dignity, health, and equality.
We are working to ensure that no girl is left behind because of menstruation.

Why we exist - addressing critical gaps in menstrual health
Menstrual health is often excluded from primary healthcare systems, leaving many girls without the medical support they need.
Schools often lack proper WASH facilities and trained staff to support menstruating students, leading to missed school days.
Policies often exclude girls' voices, and menstrual products remain unaffordable due to taxation.
